The adventure begins with the launch of a sole proprietor company.

The company is acquired by the well-known Christen + Tobler company, located at Via Chiosso 12 in Porza – still to this day the location of the Gehri headquarters.
The premises are renovated and the administrative area is expanded.

The company name is changed from “Gehri SA già Christen + Tobler” to “Gehri Piastrelle SA”.
The premises are further extended with the construction of a workshop for processing natural stone. It’s a big step for the company, which no longer deals exclusively in “tiles, terracotta and mosaics” and opens up to the world of natural stone.

A new showroom is created with a sales area spanning over 500 m², while public opening hours are extended to including Saturday mornings from 08:30 to 12:00.

Significant investment is made to renovate the exhibition space and extend the workshop following the purchase of new machinery.

The first outlet store is opened in Ticino.

The reception and entrance of the showroom are completely restyled and stunning mosaics are added

The company name is changed from Gehri Piastrelle SA to Gehri Rivestimenti SA, giving the corporate image a complete makeover.

In accordance with the company philosophy, the workshop is further extended after the purchase of numerical control (CNC) machinery.

A brand-new, exclusive exhibition space dedicated entirely to natural stone is launched.

To stay on trend and ensure we can always offer our clients the very best, our traditional showroom is renovated once again.

For the first time, the company takes part in the EDILESPO construction event in Lugano.

We purchase a WATERJET for our workshop – becoming the only company in Ticino to have one.

1 October: fully renovated main showroom opened to the public.
