1970 FOUNDATION

Gerhard Gehri establishes a sole proprietorship specialising in tiling.

1980 ESTABLISHMENT AT ITS CURRENT LOCATION

The business of the renowned company Christen+Tobler, located at Via Chiosso 12 in Porza, has been taken over. The company's registered office remains at this address.

1990 NEW COMPANY NAME

Andrea Gehri takes over the management of the company, which is renamed "Gehri Piastrelle SA". The premises are expanded to include a workshop dedicated to natural stone and a showroom covering more than 500 m².

2006 CONSTITUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

3 March: establishment of the Board of Directors. It now has six members, including two women, representing all sectors of the company.

2010 REBRANDING

With the arrival of Manuela Gehri as marketing manager, the company name changed to "Gehri Rivestimenti SA", marking the beginning of a complete revamp of the company's image.

2011 NEW NATURAL STONE SHOWROOM

A new exclusive exhibition space entirely dedicated to natural stone is being inaugurated, complementing the existing showroom dedicated to ceramics, mosaics and common natural stones.

2018 L'ARTE DEL RIVESTIRE

The family business is entering its third generation with the arrival of Deborah Gehri (sales manager).

Gehri Rivestimenti celebrates the important milestone of 50 years in business!

2021 INVESTMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY

Renovation of buildings with installation of a photovoltaic system, significant reorganisation of spaces and workflows for the benefit of workers and the company.

2022-2023 RESTYLING OF THE EXHIBITION HALL AND COMMUNITY CENTRE

Renovation of structures and updating of materials, purchase of a large CNC machine for the workshop, Deborah joins the cantonal committee of the Tile Layers' Association, as the first and only woman in Ticino.

2024 DIGITAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT

Digital development and modernisation of reception and consultation areas. Renovation of the showroom with the creation of a new meeting room for customers. Significant investment in the laboratory to improve technology, safety and precision through the purchase of a bridge milling machine and a latest-generation water jet cutter.
